Abigail has played piano her whole life and began teaching lessons in 2023. She specializes in bringing visual representations to intermediate and beginning piano students. She encourages her students to find patterns in their pieces and use them to practice.
Her favorite thing about teaching: learning about her students. Everyone’s way of learning is a little different. Finding different ways for piano to “make sense” to a student is one of her favorite things to do in a lesson. Learning how to learn is one of her passions.
Fun Facts: Abigail loves art and animals! When she’s not working, she spends time working on her sketching skills and volunteering with horses. She love being outside and getting exercise. With over a decade of experience working with children, Hayley has a natural talent for connecting with and inspiring her students. She holds a master’s degree in music therapy and a graduate certificate in developmental disabilities from the University of Kentucky. Her specialized training equips her to adapt to a wide range of learning styles. Hayley’s patient, warm, and laid-back approach helps students build emotional regulation and self-determination. Kendall Applegate
Kendall is from Versailles, Kentucky, and completed her undergraduate degree at Asbury University with a bachelor’s in music (with an emphasis in voice) and ancient languages. She is currently working towards completing her master’s in music therapy at the University of Kentucky. Kendall recently completed her music therapy internship at Wellness Creative which included teaching music lessons, leading sessions in schools, and working with private clients. She loves working with children of all ages and enjoys coming up with creative ways to make lessons engaging and fun. In her free time, you can find Kendall indulging in a good book with a cup of tea and a dog curled up in her lap.
